Overview

A leading organization in AI and high-performance data storage is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting to support its next phase of growth and public company readiness. This role involves leading the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial reporting, overseeing technical accounting matters, and playing a key role in the month-end close and audit process. The position requires collaboration across departments to address complex accounting issues, ensure consistency in accounting policies, and improve processes and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual and interim U.S. GAAP financial statements and related footnotes
  • Act as primary liaison with external auditors, managing audit execution, preparation of requested documents, and issue resolution
  • Research, analyze, and document complex technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, mergers and acquisitions, and debt
  • Draft and maintain accounting policies related to technical accounting issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate and structure non-standard transactions ensuring appropriate accounting treatment
  • Oversee key aspects of the month-end close process, including review of complex journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Support stock-based compensation accounting and equity administration, including expense recognition and system oversight

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Active CPA license
  • 8 to 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of Big 4 public accounting and/or industry experience
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP with strong technical accounting expertise
  • Required exposure to SEC reporting
  • Proven ability to independently evaluate complex accounting issues and develop well-supported conclusions and documentation
  • Experience with stock-based compensation accounting and equity administration

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $185,000 to $195,000
