The position has a direct impact on financial accuracy and trust by managing reconciliation and financial reporting for a high-volume payments business.

- Own daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across card networks, banking partners, processors, and internal transaction and ledger data.
- Manage discrepancy resolution from detection through root cause analysis, corrective action, and control improvement.
- Translate ambiguous business, finance, and regulatory needs into concrete measurement systems and define key metrics such as match rates, break aging, time-to-resolution, funding compliance, and reporting SLAs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on settlement, funding, and money-movement flows; respond to stakeholder and leadership inquiries regarding transaction lifecycles, data models, and reconciliation technology.
- Design, develop, and document automated SQL-based reporting, navigating new datasets to answer complex questions about fund flows.
- Collaborate with data engineering or work independently to design, build, validate, troubleshoot, and maintain datasets and pipelines supporting reconciliation and reporting.
- Identify control gaps, revenue leakage, manual toil, and data-quality issues; drive automation and process improvements.
- Monitor daily settlement and banking activity for irregularities.
- Manage relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Compliance.
- Lead month-end close support including reconciliation reporting, standardized summaries, and audit-ready documentation.
- Define business requirements and test plans for system changes; validate new processes and reconciliation capabilities before deployment.
- Partner with Engineering and Data teams to resolve bugs and implement enhancements.
- Mentor and onboard other analysts, review code, and promote reconciliation and reporting best practices.
- Apply an AI-first mindset to improve analytical work quality and speed, and guide responsible AI use within the team.

- Advanced Excel proficiency (complex formulas, pivot tables) and familiarity with reconciliation tools and banking portals.
- Excellent communication skills to manage senior stakeholder relationships, present findings, and drive clear next steps.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and automation in a deadline-driven, high-accuracy environment.
