Overview
This role supports a back-office transformation within Revenue Accounting. As a Senior Revenue Analyst for the project, you will collaborate with Revenue Accounting management, Controllership, system integrators, project managers, developers, and other key stakeholders. Responsibilities include guiding the project team, assisting with UAT (user acceptance testing), and supporting rollout of system and process changes across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Attend meetings to discuss and document project requirements, with a focus on U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition
- Work with your manager to understand operational capabilities and feasibilities of proposals presented
- Perform UAT and track, resolve, and document issues discovered during UAT
- Implement and document processes and procedures as required, including SOX compliance and internal controls
- Evaluate accounting implications and confirm operational support for changes under the provisions of ASC 606
- Provide accounting guidance to the project team and developers
- Support training efforts and the overall transition to new business models and system flows
- Work hours based on PST time zone
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Excellent business acumen and ability to deal with ambiguity
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to understand and present data
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment across organizations as well as independently
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working with RAR, SAP, and/or Business Objects or other relevant systems
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in the software or SaaS industry
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and data mining skills
- Enthusiastic and creative, with the ability to inspire, influence, and encourage others
Compensation & Benefits
Salary transparency
- U.S.-based roles: expected starting base salary between $76,000 and $135,520. Offers are based on experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, compensation may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
- Canada-based roles: expected starting base salary between $69,700 and $102,245. Offers are based on experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, compensation may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
