Responsibilities
- Develop underwriting strategies to improve loan portfolio performance and align with business goals
- Collaborate with the Modeling/Scoring team to apply risk strategies based on new models
- Create dashboards to monitor and analyze portfolio performance and strategy outcomes
- Build automated queries and dynamic reports to enhance credit risk analysis
- Coach and mentor other analysts and communicate results effectively across teams
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in credit risk or analytical roles within financial services
- Familiarity with credit bureau and third-party data sources
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data for problem-solving and storytelling
- High proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, or SAS
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Python or R
- Experience with A/B testing and data visualization tools such as Sigma or Tableau
- Familiarity with statistical modeling techniques
- Experience in the Canadian consumer lending market
