Overview
The organization is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support its individual returns team (1040s). This role serves ultra high net worth individual clients within a multi-family office.
The position offers flexibility to work fully remote, hybrid, or in person in the capital district based on candidate preference. Candidate must be on east coast time and be open to occasional travel to the office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual income tax returns with varying levels of complexity, including supporting work-papers.
- Review and sign off on complex individual income tax returns prepared by junior team members.
- Conduct advanced trainings and assist in developing the training library.
- Lead recurring tax meetings with client advisory teams to emphasize current tax initiatives and ensure timely progress and resolution.
- Collaborate with other associates to create efficiencies in processes and procedures.
- Assist with creating and updating company-wide templates for completion of tax returns.
- Stay current on tax legislation and communicate updates to the tax management team.
- Mentor and train Tax Analysts and Associates, supporting technical and professional growth.
- Coordinate department priorities and manage tax compliance calendars.
Requirements
- 4+ years of preparation and review experience of complex, ultra high net worth individual tax returns.
- Availability to work on east coast time.
- Openness to occasional travel to the office.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, EA, or Master’s in Tax preferred, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $125,000–$175,000 (DOE).
