Overview

This role involves managing and leading the preparation, review, and approval of customer contracts with a focus on appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. The position requires partnering with Sales, Legal, and Revenue Operations teams to provide support and guidance on deal structure, contractual terms, and revenue guidance implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead contract preparation, review, and approval ensuring compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
  • Own and evolve ASC 606 revenue policies, including standalone selling price (SSP) analyses and allocations as new products, pricing models, and contract structures are introduced.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ASC 606, overseeing the end-to-end revenue accounting process.
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close tasks, including preparing workbooks, journal entries, and technical whitepapers and memos related to ASC 606.
  • Lead preparation of technical revenue accounting ad hoc projects such as SSP analysis, customer life analysis, and revenue policy updates.
  • Streamline workflows for non-standard contracts in collaboration with Legal and Deal Desk teams to balance compliance and business objectives.
  • Support internal and external audits by managing audit schedules and responding to technical accounting inquiries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a strong focus on technical revenue accounting under ASC 606.
  • CPA license required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical issues into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across teams.
  • Ability to balance technical rigor with operational excellence.
  • Willingness to engage in all aspects of the team’s work, from routine tasks to complex technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading revenue accounting policy development and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $119,000 - $161,000 for most U.S. locations.
  • Compensation may be 5% to 10% higher for U.S. locations with a higher cost of labor.
  • Final job level and compensation will be determined based on qualifications, skills, prior relevant experience, potential impact, scope of role, market demands, and specific work location.
