Overview

This role is for a Senior Financial Analyst within the FP&A department, focused on enterprise reporting, financial analysis, planning, and data management. The position supports a department that has implemented Anaplan and needs strong resources to use the tool effectively and help drive future capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise reporting: Prepare and distribute accurate, timely financial reports and dashboards, highlighting key insights and trends for C-Suite (including CEO), Board of Directors, and Private Equity Owners
  • Financial analysis: Perform in-depth analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation (primary focus on COGS, including variances between volume/rate/mix)
  • Planning: Lead the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts, partnering with business stakeholders to align with strategic goals and objectives
  • Data management: Collaborate with technical resources to maintain and update financial models and databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity; use financial tools such as Anaplan to streamline data processes and enhance reporting and planning capabilities (with special consideration for candidates who can implement projects alongside technical resources)
  • Financial performance tracking: Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, identify improvement opportunities and potential risks, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
  • Ad hoc analysis: Respond to requests for financial analysis and support from management and other stakeholders with insightful, actionable recommendations
  • Collaboration and communication: Work with cross-functional teams (Lines of Business, Treasury, Accounting, and Operations) to communicate timelines, gather deliverables, and provide enterprise-level context for financials
  • Continuous improvement: Use available windows to improve automation of monthly reporting and analytical processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis techniques, including experience with Excel, Anaplan, or similar financial software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, able to clearly and persuasively convey financial information to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with strong accountability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA)
  • Prior experience in financial analysis, reporting, or planning roles
  • Familiarity with Anaplan or other financial tools

Physical Requirements

  • May be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
  • Constantly operate a computer
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face-to-face, conference calls, and online meetings
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $80,000 - $85,00
