Overview
A well-established organization in the life and health insurance industry is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A. The organization provides financial products including annuities, workforce benefits, and other financial services aimed at securing financial stability for middle-income Americans. It manages millions of policies and billions in assets through a broad network of associates and agents, with offices across numerous U.S. communities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze detailed expense reports, monitoring actual performance against budgets and forecasts
- Manage day-to-day FP&A system administration and coordinate with IT for data management
- Develop materials for monthly internal business reviews
- Perform month-end and quarter-end accounting tasks, including journal entries and account monitoring
- Prepare quarterly reports for internal and external management meetings, including consolidated reporting
- Analyze key financial metrics and provide strategic insights
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as needed
- Maintain documentation and controls over financial processes
- Assist in training and development of junior analysts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of related experience, including at least 5 years in financial analysis
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx, Hyperion, Essbase, Concur, and Business Objects
- Ability to extract and transform data from key financial systems
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial skills with attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across organizational levels
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $81,000 to $121,600
