Overview
The organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to own the Opex budget and forecasting process and to produce the analysis that leadership and the board rely on each month. This role involves building models from scratch, writing variance commentary that culminates in actionable recommendations, and presenting insights to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own the Opex budget and forecast, working directly with department leaders on their inputs
- Build financial models from scratch for budgeting, forecasting, scenarios, and business cases
- Produce monthly variance analysis and written commentary to accompany it
- Prepare monthly and weekly leadership packages and a board-ready package
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards used by leadership
- Guide and review the work of the Financial Analyst
- Improve how FP&A operates as the organization grows
Requirements
- 5+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience, including ownership of a budget or forecast process for a defined cost area
- Advanced Excel modeling experience, including building three-statement or driver-based models from a blank sheet
- Demonstrated monthly variance analysis experience, including written management commentary for a leadership audience
- Experience preparing leadership and/or board reporting packages
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining financial information to non-finance audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare, health plan, or claims payment industry experience; familiarity with the No Surprises Act or IDR process is a plus
- Experience in a PE-backed or sponsor-reporting environment
- Experience with financial planning software
- Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI tool experience for KPI dashboards

- Reports to the Director, FP&A

- Final salary offer will depend on relevant previous experience (including duration and type of experience within the industry), education, and internal equity
