Overview
A well-established organization is seeking a Senior IT Finance & Analytics Analyst to support Technology Business Management (TBM) Analytics. This role focuses on enhancing transparency and optimization of IT costs, quality, and value by partnering with IT and Finance teams. The analyst will design, maintain, and improve TBM cost models using tools such as Apptio to provide actionable insights for data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain IT cost models and data integrations.
- Administer systems related to TBM analytics.
- Drive continuous improvements in data quality, allocation methodologies, and analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with leaders to understand total cost of ownership and optimize IT services.
- Align financial outcomes with strategic technology priorities.
- Support data governance and quality initiatives.
- Occasionally travel for stakeholder engagement, planning, or training.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or related fields; experience in technology-driven or consulting environments preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IT financial management practices including budgeting, cost allocations, capital vs. operating expenses, and product-based funding models.
- Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM), Apptio, or CIO advisory work.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL/data warehouse tools (e.g., SQL Server, SSMS, TOAD), and data analysis tools such as Power BI, Python, or VBA.
- Experience integrating and transforming data across multiple enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms, ServiceNow, cloud platforms like Azure or AWS).
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across IT and business functions without formal authority.
- Experience supporting data governance, data quality initiatives, and continuous improvement of analytics processes.
- Preferred certifications include ETBMA/RTBMA, ITIL/IT4IT, or data/analytics certifications such as MCSE in Data Management & Analytics.

- Accountability for end-to-end model development, data preparation, and production support with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $94,500.00 - $138,500.00, based on education, experience, skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.
- Eligibility for an annual incentive bonus plan.
