Overview
This role focuses on analyzing and improving billing, account experience, financial performance, and customer service within a remote-first mental health organization. The position involves working closely with teams across Finance, Billing, Product, Data, Customer Service, and Operations to investigate complex account issues, identify root causes, and transform data into actionable insights that enhance accuracy, reduce friction, and support sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Analyze billing workflows to identify breakdowns and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations
- Monitor financial and operational metrics to support decision-making
- Deliver clear, actionable insights from complex and unstructured data
- Support the delivery of a reliable and trustworthy financial experience for members, providers, and partners
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in analytics or data science roles
- At least 2 years focused on financial analytics and/or firm-level operations analysis
- Proven ability to work effectively with non-technical, cross-functional stakeholders
- Deep understanding of financial metrics such as CAC, billing, key accounts, retention, churn, LTV, and operational metrics like resolution time and product uptime
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or SQL
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Hex
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with shifting analytical priorities
- Expertise in proposing and executing operational efficiency experiments
- Prior experience in healthcare, marketplace, or financial services operations
- Ability to connect analytics insights to business strategy and influence financial and operational decisions that drive profitable growth
