Overview
This role involves working with an open IoT platform that connects vehicles, drivers, and data to improve efficiencies and safety across fleets globally. The platform partners with fleets, application developers, vehicle manufacturers, and equipment providers in the transportation industry to deliver innovative supply chain solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now for all U.S. entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Validate and reconcile time, earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax data to maintain payroll integrity.
- Maintain employee payroll data including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and tax setups.
- Collaborate with People Operations, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and proper general ledger integration.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll-related journal entries, support month-end close processes, and assist with payroll variance analysis.
- Manage reporting and compliance requirements such as wage and hour laws, tax filings, and annual W-2 issuance.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and reconciliations.
- Partner with People Operations to process payroll accurately for employees on leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable leave laws.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll regulations and trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing and payroll accounting.
- Advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now; experience integrating payroll data with financial systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $87,363 to $106,997.
- Compensation packages are determined based on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, business needs, market demands, and geographic location.
- The base salary range is subject to change and may be updated in the future.
