Overview
A technology services and enablement team is seeking a Senior Software Pricing Analyst to lead monetization and pricing strategy across a software product portfolio. This role involves collaborating with Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Strategy, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to support and advise executive management on pricing and monetization strategies globally. The analyst will propose pricing and go-to-market strategies aligned with corporate objectives, customer expectations, and financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage pricing and packaging for the software product portfolio
- Conduct market and competitive research and customer segmentation analysis
- Develop and maintain pricing and packaging plans
- Formulate innovative pricing strategies responsive to changing business environments
- Present regular pricing reviews to ensure alignment with strategic and financial goals and market conditions
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to build consensus and optimize pricing recommendations
- Work closely with Finance to ensure pricing and licensing models comply with revenue recognition standards
- Document pricing decisions to support compliance and audit readiness
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SaaS/software pricing strategy or related fields
- Experience with usage-based pricing, particularly in cloud environments
- Strong analytical modeling skills
- Ability to balance customer, revenue, and margin growth considerations in pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics, R, Python, and Alteryx
- Expertise in value- and market-based pricing
- Ability to analyze large datasets to estimate profitability and customer impact of pricing recommendations
- Experience leading projects including product pricing, packaging, business case development, and operational execution
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered
