Overview
This is a fully remote position with a national nonprofit dedicated to improving vision care access for school-age children in low-income urban and rural communities. The organization provides vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses at no cost through 50 mobile clinics across 15 states and Washington, DC—serving 400 cities and 145 school districts.
Opportunity
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the organization’s financial health and growth by leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role partners with multiple teams and senior leadership to ensure financial systems and reporting infrastructure support expansion and mission fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for planning and strategy
- Monitor budget-to-actual performance and spending against grant and program budgets
- Prepare financial analyses, cash flow projections, and reporting materials for grants
- Implement and optimize financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software
- Support preparation of financial statements and board reporting
- Assist with audit readiness through preparation of schedules and analyses
- Collaborate with Operations and Development teams for accurate budgeting and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting
- Prior nonprofit finance experience
- Knowledge of grant budgets and restricted funding, including government, corporate, and foundation grants
- Advanced proficiency with accounting, budgeting, and reporting software
Preferred Qualifications
- Expert-level Excel skills, including formulas, macros, and pivot tables
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate effectively
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $95,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience and location
