Overview
A growing entertainment technology organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the financial operations and reporting of its Interactive division. This role involves preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor account activity for accuracy and proper support
- Escalate and resolve accounting issues as needed
- Adhere to internal control policies and compliance requirements
- Maintain documentation to support audits and financial reviews
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support ad-hoc reporting requests, financial analysis, and special projects
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 to 4 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
- Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 to $68,000 USD annually
