Overview
This role involves guiding individuals participating in employer-sponsored retirement plans toward long-term financial success by providing personalized financial advice. Utilizing data-driven insights and proprietary tools, the advisor conducts comprehensive financial assessments, develops tailored investment and retirement strategies, and supports participants through both in-person and virtual consultations across an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth advisory conversations assessing participants' overall financial health, including retirement readiness, investment management, household financial planning, and general financial wellness.
- Use proprietary financial planning software to deliver detailed investment reviews and objective recommendations tailored to participant goals and risk tolerance.
- Customize and implement actionable financial plans using analytical tools to identify needs and promote long-term financial behavior change.
- Lead one-on-one consultations and group education sessions, both virtual and in-person, covering topics such as retirement planning, investing fundamentals, and financial wellness best practices.
- Document participant interactions, advice, and recommendations in Salesforce; ensure compliance and consistent follow-up.
- Meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs), client expectations, and annual performance goals.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships internally (e.g., Client Relationship Managers, Customer Care, Communications, and Marketing teams) and externally (e.g., HR and benefits coordinators within employer groups).
- Collaborate with personal wealth teams to refer participants whose needs align with wealth management solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant financial services experience.
- FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65 registrations required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a personal book of business.
- Deep understanding of defined contribution plans, financial planning principles, and investment management topics.
- Ability to travel to client sites as necessary (up to 50%).
- FINRA Fingerprinting required upon hire.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales and/or wealth management.
- Proficiency with investment planning tools and financial wellness platforms.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $87,400.00 - $123,400.00 (varies by location, experience, education, licensure, and skill level).
- Non-sales positions may participate in a bonus program; sales positions are eligible for sales incentives and potential bonuses.

Location & Work Environment
- Remote and hybrid work options available.
- Remote employees must provide reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection (fiber, cable, or DSL) and a suitable home workspace with limited disruption.

- May be required to work onsite if home work environment or internet connectivity is inadequate.
