Overview
This role supports the National Tax Team within a professional services organization offering advisory, assurance, and tax services.
The position is hybrid. While considered remote (duties do not require performance within proximity of an office), remote employees may be required to be present at an office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and individuals
- Assist engagement team with tax planning for clients, including preparing tax projections and estimated tax calculations
- Build and maintain relationships with clients
- Research federal and state income tax issues and develop conclusions
- Support the National Tax Team with preparation of internal and external presentations
- Assist with technical calculations and analysis
- Develop knowledge of complex federal income tax provisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- 1-3 years of Tax experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze and communicate complex information via email, phone, and video
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and collaborate across teams and professionals at all levels
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as tax compliance and research tools such as CCH Access and RIA Checkpoint
