Overview
A national public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its National Tax Office (NTO). This role involves providing technical tax services related to corporate taxation, partnership taxation, and mergers and acquisitions. The position offers opportunities for professional growth, training, and development. Candidates should hold a CPA and/or JD, with government experience considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with NTO specialists to ensure technical accuracy in tax consulting and advisory work.
- Provide federal tax expertise to professionals and clients on compliance and planning issues.
- Research and prepare technical tax memoranda.
- Develop thought leadership and external marketing materials.
- Analyze new tax laws, regulations, and guidance to produce internal and external materials that identify opportunities and risks.
- Develop and deliver internal training on tax topics.
- Assist with internal and external webinars and presentations.
- Support firm-wide quality control procedures.
- Work closely with the Strategic Tax Advisory team, particularly in mergers and acquisitions.
Requirements
- CPA and/or JD required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with federal tax issues related to CPMA.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Effective and engaging presentation abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong technical skills with a desire for continuous improvement.
- High energy, entrepreneurial, and proactive approach.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $133,000 - $206,900, determined by role, experience, education, skills, and location.
