Overview

This role involves leading and managing tax compliance engagements, ensuring adherence to professional standards, budgets, and deadlines. The position requires serving as the primary tax contact for clients, providing proactive communication and timely service, and maintaining technical expertise in specialized tax areas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage tax compliance engagements according to firm and professional standards
  • Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and internal resources
  • Serve as the main tax point of contact for clients
  • Ensure clients receive proactive communication and timely service
  • Review tax work papers, provision calculations, tax returns, tax research, and other deliverables
  • Communicate project status, client service opportunities, and significant matters to clients and engagement partners
  • Provide training, direction, and supervision to staff and senior accountants
  • Participate in and lead firm initiatives and projects
  • Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specialization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience
  • CPA certification in the practicing state
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant job experience
  • Experience with High Net Worth Individual tax matters
  • Prior accounting and/or tax experience
  • Recognized subject matter leader in accounting and/or tax services
  • Experience managing and mentoring staff
  • Experience making recommendations to management
  • Prior public accounting experience is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base salary range: $106,000 to $160,000 (offers typically below maximum to allow for future increases)
