Tax Manager

Overview

The organization is seeking a talented and motivated Tax Manager to join a fast-growing professional advisory firm serving closely held businesses.

This role has a primary focus on construction, real estate, manufacturing, and distribution clients. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated CPA or EA with strong technical accounting and tax knowledge, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with client support staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ongoing tax planning and coordination of client engagements
• Conduct detailed and technical reviews of complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns with an emphasis on flow-through entities
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with the team on client issues and ensure deadlines are met
• Research tax law updates
• Research complex tax issues, provide recommendations to the team, and ensure compliance with regulations
• Assist in team technical skill development
• Foster client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to clients’ business office staff by delivering superior services and timely responses

Requirements

• 5+ years with a medium-sized public accounting firm preparing and reviewing flow-through income tax returns
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proficient in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research
• Strong attention to detail
• Integrity within a professional environment
• Team leadership experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CCH Axcess tax and CCH Pfx Engagement
• EA or CPA certification

Location

This role is based out of either Keene, NH or remote, with a preference for some in-person capacity. If located outside of the Keene region, willingness to travel to meet with clients, as needed, is preferred.
