Overview
This role is part of the Tax organization, supporting Trust & Estate Tax work within the Minnesota practice. The position is considered remote, meaning job duties do not require performance within proximity of a firm office. Remote employees may be required to be present at a firm office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
Responsibilities
- Review gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns for the Trust & Estate (T&E) group.
- Handle 1040/1041 returns as needed.
- Review fiduciary accounting for trusts and estates.
- Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes.
- Manage all aspects of client relationships.
- Manage a team of professionals within the group to complete engagements from start to finish.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Tax is a plus.
- CPA, EA, LLM, or JD is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, as well as high net worth clients.
- Strong tax research skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Minnesota salary range for Tax Senior Associates: $70,000 - $105,000.
- Salary determination varies based on factors such as geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
