Overview

This role supports the organization’s National Tax team within the broader tax practice. The position is considered remote, meaning job duties do not require being performed within proximity of an office location. Scheduled notice may be provided for attendance at an office for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Research tax issues and filing requirements that affect tax compliance.
  • Review tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant authorities/guidance.
  • Draft tax technical memorandums.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements by identifying current client needs and target client requirements.
  • Participate in proposal development (at the direction of management) and take a lead role responding to requests for proposal.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and deliver timely performance evaluations.
  • Develop subordinates’ technical and industry skills and encourage growth.
  • Demonstrate initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thinking.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
  • Partnership/Corporate experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • CPA licensure achieved
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX
  • Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
