Tax Staff Accountant (Fully Remote)

Overview

A growing CPA firm is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys public accounting and wants to advance their career while working from home.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns
• Assist with tax planning and tax research projects
• Communicate with clients regarding tax-related questions and requests
• Collaborate closely with managers and partners on client engagements
• Stay current on tax law changes and industry developments

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting tax experience
• Experience preparing 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 tax returns
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy season
• CPA certification or CPA candidacy preferred but not required
