Tax Staff Accountant (Fully Remote)

Overview

A growing CPA firm is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys public accounting and wants to advance their career while working from home. Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns
• Assist with tax planning and tax research projects
• Communicate with clients regarding tax-related questions and requests
• Collaborate closely with managers and partners on client engagements
• Stay current on tax law changes and industry developments

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting tax experience
• Experience preparing 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 tax returns
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy season
• CPA certification or CPA candidacy preferred but not required
