Temporary Payroll Specialist-Remote

Overview

This role involves managing the successful weekly and biweekly processing of multiple multi-state payrolls. The Payroll Specialist will provide support and training on payroll software and timekeeping systems to hotel staff. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls.
• Train and assist properties with the payroll process and weekly approvals.
• Process off-cycle checks, reversals, and voids.
• Audit and reconcile payroll data.
• Perform ad hoc reporting as necessary.
• Carry out other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shared service environment.
• Knowledge of Federal and State wage, hour, and tax laws.
• Experience with 401K, garnishments, health care deductions, and PTO accruals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes.
• Comfortable speaking in front of others.
• Self-driven with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday payroll software.
• Hospitality industry experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $67,000.00 - $69,000.00 annually.
• Not eligible for tipped/service charge or discretionary performance bonuses.
