The organization is seeking an experienced Coverholder Auditor to deliver audits of US coverholders on behalf of Lloyd’s managing agents. This role involves end-to-end audit delivery—planning and fieldwork through to the final report—aligned to the Lloyd’s audit framework and the LMA Coverholder Audit Scope.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end audits of US coverholders on behalf of one or more Lloyd’s managing agents, including Lloyd’s coordinated audits, delivering approximately 2 full audits per month.
  • Review the binding authority agreement and the managing agent’s audit scope, and issue tailored pre-audit information requests.
  • Conduct on-site and remote fieldwork, testing underwriting, claims, governance, and controls against the terms of the delegated authority.
  • Hold wrap-up meetings with coverholder management to discuss initial findings.
  • Produce clear, evidence-based audit reports using a risk-based approach, including prioritised findings and recommendations linked back to the delegated authority agreement.
  • Record findings in Lloyd’s Delegated Audit Manager (DAM) within agreed deadlines, and support post-audit actions through to closure.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the Lloyd’s delegated authority model, the Lloyd’s coordinated audit framework, and the current LMA Coverholder Audit Scope and guidance notes.
  • Senior background as an underwriter, claims manager, or delegated authority professional.
  • Proven ability to write clear, structured audit reports.
  • Ability to lead audits independently, with willingness to travel to coverholder sites.
  • US-based candidates, or those with experience of US coverholders, are strongly advantageous.
  • Confidence delivering audits in line with binding authority agreements, with findings evidenced against the delegated authority terms.
