Overview
This role is for a Wealth Transition Services Tax Manager, available across all locations in the United States with flexible work arrangements including remote, hybrid, or in-office options.
Responsibilities
- Advise and consult on estate planning processes focusing on tax perspectives related to cash flow projections, income distribution, business succession, estate preservation, and estate plan flow.
- Interpret and review legal documents related to estate and business succession planning.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.
- Conduct technical research on estate, gift, GST, tax planning, and compliance matters for internal clients.
- Analyze tax situations of individuals and their estates/trusts to maximize tax benefits, including expertise in income taxation of trusts and estates.
- Assist clients with varying levels of estate planning knowledge.
- Manage client relationships internally and externally by proactively seeking solutions that add value.
- Take responsibility for business development and billing.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials and presenting internal and external webinar trainings.
- Coach and mentor staff members.
- Collaborate with the Wealth Transition Services team on various projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license, Enrolled Agent license, or JD/LLM in taxation.
- 4-8 years of experience in tax planning and estate planning within public accounting, law firms, or related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with high net worth clients and speaking to groups on wealth transition topics.
- Ability to lead and coordinate large estate/gift/GST tax planning engagements.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet all deadlines.
- Experience in business development and networking.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $105,000 - $180,000, dependent on geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
