Overview
This role involves serving as the primary Workday Financials administrator and support contact for the Finance team within a company in the gaming and software development industry. The position focuses on resolving configuration issues, supporting enhancements, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve Workday Financial Management processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main Workday Financials administrator and support liaison for the Finance team
- Diagnose and resolve configuration issues across various Workday Financial Management modules
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to document and translate business requirements into functional design specifications
- Manage enhancements and process improvements within Workday Financials, overseeing the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
- Maintain accurate system documentation
- Assist in user acceptance testing during Workday release cycles
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials configuration and support
- Deep knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the ability to independently configure business processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of navigating competing priorities and managing expectations
- Experience in business requirements gathering and writing functional design documents
- Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts, including GAAP and month-end close processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro certification in Financial Management
- Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance
- Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its integration with Financials
- Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Reporting
- Experience with finance-adjacent applications that integrate with Workday
