Overview
This role involves serving as the primary Workday Financials administrator and support contact for the Finance team within a gaming and software development employer. The position focuses on resolving configuration issues, supporting enhancements, and partnering with Finance stakeholders to optimize Workday Financials usage.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main Workday Financials administrator and support liaison for the Finance team
- Diagnose and resolve configuration issues across Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Procurement modules
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional design specifications and Workday solutions
- Support enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements, including managing testing and change management activities
- Maintain accurate system documentation such as configuration guides and training materials
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Workday Financials configuration and support in a business analyst or functional analyst role
- Deep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules
- Ability to support day-to-day Finance operations while contributing to project-based work and strategic initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Finance and IT teams
- Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts including GAAP, month-end close, and AP/AR workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its integration with Financials
- Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Reporting
- Experience with other Finance-related applications that integrate with Workday
- Prior involvement in Workday optimization or module expansion projects supporting Finance teams
