Overview
This opportunity involves serving as the primary Workday Financials administrator and support contact for the Finance team within a technology and gaming industry employer. The role focuses on resolving configuration issues, supporting enhancements, and acting as a liaison between Finance and IT.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main Workday Financials administrator and support contact for the Finance team
- Diagnose and resolve configuration issues across various Workday Financials modules
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into functional design specifications
- Support enhancements and new feature rollouts in Workday Financials, managing the process from requirements gathering through testing
- Act as a bridge between Finance and IT to ensure system changes are implemented with appropriate controls and minimal disruption
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience
- Deep knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules with the ability to configure independently
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience conducting business requirements gathering and writing functional design documents
- Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts and their application in Workday configuration
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro certification in Financial Management
- Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its relationship to Financials
- Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Reporting
- Experience with finance-adjacent applications that integrate with Workday
