Overview
A nationally recognized healthcare management consulting firm is seeking a Workday Payroll Consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of Workday Payroll solutions for clients. This role involves working closely with clients to understand payroll requirements, configuring Workday Payroll accordingly, and providing expert guidance throughout the implementation process. The consultant will also serve as a subject matter expert on Workday Payroll best practices to optimize processes and maximize efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle implementation of Workday Payroll solutions, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with clients to understand payroll requirements and translate them into effective Workday Payroll configurations.
- Configure payroll calculations, tax setups, earnings, deductions, and related processes within Workday Payroll.
- Mentor and lead junior consultants on payroll configuration and implementation best practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as HR, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless integration between Workday Payroll and other systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Stay current on Workday Payroll updates and new features, assessing their impact on client implementations.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools, methodologies, and knowledge sharing initiatives to enhance the Workday Payroll practice.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Workday Payroll implementation lifecycle processes, including system design, configuration, and project reviews.
- Workday US Payroll certification is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, including payroll calculations, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead complex Workday Payroll projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, project teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,650 - $173,559 annually.
- Eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
