Overview
A Clinical Research Support Office is seeking a Senior Accountant Financial Analyst to support clinical research administration. This full-time, fully remote position is based in Lexington, KY, with working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, and occasional early or late meetings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the financial project manager for assigned clinical research projects
- Develop and support research project budgets, ensuring inclusion of indirect, pass-through, and one-time costs
- Provide training and education on clinical trial post-award management to departments and clinical grant services
- Negotiate directly with clinical trial sponsors, review and prepare responses to sponsor budget offers and counteroffers
- Enter final budget terms into the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) required; related experience may substitute for education
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience
- Ability to sit for extended periods using computer and telephone
- No supervisory responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $47,278 to $78,000 per year
