Overview

A fast-growing FinTech organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support timely and accurate processing and payment of invoices in compliance with company policies. This role is essential to maintaining vendor relationships, supporting internal financial operations, and assisting with month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume daily accounts payable correspondence and document routing
  • Review and validate invoice coding accuracy
  • Serve as the first point of contact for vendor and internal inquiries related to accounts payable
  • Execute vendor payments and corporate card settlements, including remittance communications
  • Reconcile corporate card transactions and maintain complete documentation
  • Prepare journal entries, accounts payable reconciliations, 1099 filings, and ad hoc reports for month-end close

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on accounts payable experience managing invoice volume, vendor relationships, and payment cycles
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered
  • Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a strong plus
  • Self-directed and solutions-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels
  • Exceptional accuracy, efficiency, and critical thinking skills to support precise financial reporting

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $55,170 to $64,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus
