Overview

Accounts Receivable Specialist (Remote, Local to Newtown Square, PA)

This role involves tracking insurance payments using EPIC and resolving payment issues. The position focuses on process improvements, appeals, and account resolutions within healthcare billing.

Responsibilities

• Track insurance payments and resolve payment discrepancies
• Work on process improvements related to accounts receivable
• Manage appeals and account resolutions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Two to three years of healthcare billing and/or accounts receivable experience using automated patient accounting systems (experience with Epic Resolute preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate Excel skills required
• Knowledge of insurance contracts, billing regulations, and medical terminology preferred
• Familiarity with HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10 codes, and revenue codes preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certifications desirable

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $20.73 - $32.11
• Eligibility for up to 120 hours of paid time off annually, based on full or part-time status

Work Schedule & Location

• Full-time, day schedule with flexible start times between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM
