Overview

This role involves supporting the management and analysis of servicing advances within the mortgage servicing industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working with both internal and external clients, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Experience in mortgage or real estate is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and presenting servicing advance populations.
  • Develop and maintain reporting on all servicing advances.
  • Perform quantitative analysis of advances across multiple population levels.
  • Identify opportunities to increase income, reduce expenses, and recover receivables.
  • Monitor and track receipt of receivables and incentives.
  • Analyze internal business processes and financial results to find improvement opportunities.
  • Review financial and billing reports to provide monthly variance explanations.
  • Support securitization and funding of servicing advances through debt facilities.
  • Assist in governance of transaction methodology and allocation mapping between Servicing and Accounting.
  • Participate in initiatives and projects aligned with team and leadership goals.
  • Implement, enhance, and monitor accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Interface with all levels of corporate and operational management.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of SQL and use relational databases daily.
  • Develop governance programs overseeing system use of milestone and restriction indicators.
  • Oversee ancillary fee assessments, waivers, and collections through governance programs.
  • Act as liaison to ensure policies and procedures related to servicing system indicators and fees are followed.
  • Conduct advanced data analytics and reporting to identify causal links and relationships across large or multiple data sets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Computer Science.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining data sets related to financial and servicing activity.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Financial Services, preferably Mortgage Servicing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in training, process improvement, and advisory roles.
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience as an analyst, reporting developer, or related role in financial services.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple personnel and projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and meet deadlines.
  • Strong skills in reading, interpreting, and analyzing complex accounts and records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
  • Mortgage servicing experience preferred.
  • Experience with MSP servicing system preferred.
  • Knowledge of general ledger accounting preferred.
  • SQL and relational database experience preferred.

  • Salary range: $64,800 - $121,500 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Location & Work Conditions

  • Remote work option available.

  • Normal office working conditions.
  • Ability to work during normal business hours and occasionally early, late, or weekends as needed.
  • Overtime may be required.
