Overview

A financial technology organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, with team members across the United States, Dominican Republic, and Canada, is seeking a detail-oriented and curious Analyst. This role supports the optimization and integration of the decision engine into process flows, directly assisting in risk assessment and streamlining the offer drafting process.

Responsibilities

Decision Engine Implementation & Testing

  • Own the implementation of new process flows, rule changes, and logic updates within the third-party decision engine (e.g., Taktile).
  • Execute QA and testing for new decisioning parameters and A/B tests to ensure accuracy before full deployment.
  • Conduct backtesting by running historical what-if simulations using historical data in the decision engine.
  • Validate data flows between third-party vendors and internal core applications to ensure stability and accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders such as Pricing and Risk teams to document requirements for process improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for business processes related to decision logic and A/B testing specifications.
  • Work closely with technology and engineering teams to ensure decision engine process flows are compatible with core applications.

Requirements

  • Experience in an analytical and product support role, preferably in FinTech, lending, or a high-growth financial services environment.
  • Direct experience working with and optimizing a decision engine (e.g., Taktile, FICO Blaze, Provenir, Lendflow, GDS Link, or similar complex rules/scoring engines) is required.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with lending lifecycles (MCA, SMB, or Credit) or logic/rules engines is preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and a willingness to learn technical systems.
  • Detail-oriented, coachable, and ready to engage in a high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Targeted Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 USD
  • Annual Target Bonus: 10%
