Overview
The pricing analyst is responsible for gathering data, preparing analyses, and making recommendations to support the generation of net program revenue. Pricing responsibilities include cost analysis, recommending sell prices, reviewing special offers, monitoring cost changes, and working with pricing systems. This role also ensures price accuracy across marketing materials and all costing, pricing, and reservation systems.
Working closely with teams including Tuition Revenue Management (TRM), Air Operations, Marketing, Programs, Program Services, Contracting, and Finance, the analyst provides analysis and insights to support effective decision-making and maximize net program revenue.
This role offers a remote work environment.
Compensation range for this exempt level salaried position is $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities
Program Pricing & Analysis
- Prepare pricing files, analyze YOY cost changes, and recommend sell prices according to margin guidelines.
- Analyze net program revenue changes after programs have been priced and, based on margin guidelines, evaluate whether sell price changes are needed.
- Review special offer reporting and recommend extensions.
- Ensure accurate sell prices in systems and update as needed.
- Review marketing campaigns for print, web, and e-mail; ensure accuracy of pricing and special offers for featured dates.
- Use system software to develop standard tools that support reporting, analysis, and workflow management.
- Complete other duties as needed, including ad-hoc reporting and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required with up to 2 years relevant experience (travel industry experience a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word, with Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail; highly accurate with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, problem solve, and work independently.
- Ability to understand foreign currency translation.
- Strong desire to learn new skills and work collaboratively as a team player.
- Experience gathering, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
