Overview
This position analyzes assets to estimate values using accepted and relevant approaches and theories. It serves as a resource on valuation policy and ensures valuations comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, standards, and procedures. The role works closely with internal departments to resolve valuation-related issues and may provide training or guidance to less experienced analysts.
Responsibilities
- Valuation analysis: Perform valuation analysis across various industries using accepted approaches and theories; apply multiple techniques to estimate value of more complex assets.
- Reporting: Prepare and may present analysis results clearly and concisely to direct manager and senior management; contribute to development of proposals, presentations, and publications for current and prospective clients.
- Research: Conduct in-depth research on clients, industries, markets, and competitors; independently gather data through direct client interaction and client site visits.
- Policy resource/compliance: Maintain strong knowledge of regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures affecting asset valuations to monitor compliance throughout daily operations; respond to inquiries related to policy compliance or asset valuation.
Requirements
- Minimum Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Analysis, equipment valuation, or appraiser & remarketing
- OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 6 years of experience in Analysis, equipment valuation, or appraiser & remarketing
- Required qualifications:
- Financial services industry experience
- Asset valuation experience in C&I, Agriculture, Office and Imaging, and/or Healthcare
- Residual value setting and collateral condition experience
- Project management experience
- Analytical, reporting, and financial modeling skills
- Detail oriented
- MS Office proficiency, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial services industry experience with leadership or project management
- American Society of Appraisers Certification (ASA) preferred
Certifications / Licenses
- Preferred license or certification: American Society of Appraisers Certification (ASA) - IO
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: generally $100,000 - $130,000 per year
- Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
- For some roles, total compensation may include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
