Overview
A leading organization in the Finance & Insurance sector is seeking a Bank Credit Risk Analyst Lead specializing in Retail Banking. This role focuses on governance, compliance, and operational risk management within a regulated financial services environment. The position involves partnering with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into actionable recommendations that support responsible execution, improved decision-making, and sustainable growth.
Location: Remote (US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation: $164,780 – $314,960 annually
Responsibilities
- Utilize industry best practices to identify risks and develop credit risk strategies
- Lead root cause analyses and provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Deliver comprehensive credit risk strategies across multiple defense lines
- Analyze data to detect first-party fraud risks
- Design and conduct complex financial risk sensitivity analyses
- Develop and manage credit strategy infrastructure to ensure effective implementation
- Coach team members and provide thought leadership in analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in analytics or risk assessments, or 6 years with an advanced degree
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Advanced presentation and communication skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Expertise in developing risk-related reporting
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools such as SQL and SAS
