Overview

A Capital Allocation & Investments team within the organization is responsible for shaping capital deployment strategy and driving financial analysis and decision-making across mergers and acquisitions (M&A), organic growth initiatives such as new product launches, and portfolio optimization. This team works closely with Corporate Development and advises senior leadership across business groups, finance, and other functional stakeholders.

This role reports to the Director of Capital Allocation & Investments and focuses on leading financial analyses for complex projects, primarily related to M&A. It will also contribute to developing frameworks and infrastructure to improve capital allocation discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate capital allocation opportunities across M&A, organic growth projects, and portfolio optimization
  • Support business case development by collaborating with business leadership and key stakeholders to drive alignment and secure executive support
  • Perform M&A due diligence in partnership with Corporate Development and external advisors such as investment bankers and consultants
  • Conduct portfolio analysis to inform prioritization, capital allocation trade-offs, and long-term strategic planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or valuation/transaction services
  • Strong understanding of advanced corporate finance concepts including valuation, investment returns, and EPS accretion/dilution
  • Experience working on M&A deal teams or in a similar capacity
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to communicate key business insights to leadership
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and evaluate growth opportunities
  • High level of self-drive, proactivity, and ownership mentality
  • Broad exposure to life science tools and/or software industries is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time position with option to work remotely
  • Pay range: $100,720 to $188,850 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits
  • Individual pay within the range is determined by work location, skills, experience, and education
  • Occasional travel required
