CFO - Lite Remote

Overview

This is a remote, full-time role for candidates who reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV.

The organization is seeking an experienced “CFO-Lite” to help solo law firm owners understand their financials, improve profitability, and make smarter financial decisions. You will advise a roster of 40 clients as part of a fractional executive team of CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and Controllers.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly 1:1 financial strategy calls with clients
• Analyze financial statements, KPIs, profitability, and cash flow
• Build and interpret financial dashboards
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and identify risks
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
• Coach clients to build stronger financial habits and accountability

Requirements

• Controller or senior-level accounting/finance experience
• Strong experience in financial analysis, forecasting, KPIs, and dashboard creation/interpretation
• Proven results improving profitability, cash flow, or expenses
• Experience managing teams or client relationships
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information simply

Preferred Qualifications

• Small business or entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred
• Experience in professional services or law firm environments is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• $110,000 to $145,000 total annual compensation, including base pay, roster-based earnings, additional projects, and projected bonuses

Remote (candidates must reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV).
