CLOSE: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Overview

A remote-first organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting and compliance functions while contributing to financial planning and analysis (FP&A). The company is a bootstrapped, fully remote business with a team of over 100 people across 22 countries, focused on building modern CRM solutions for small and scaling businesses.

Responsibilities

• Own SaaS revenue recognition ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP.
• Manage month-end close, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, sales tax, and billing.
• Improve financial processes and conduct internal audits.
• Leverage modern SaaS accounting tools and automation to streamline financial operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership to enhance efficiency and financial transparency.
• Work autonomously with minimal oversight, taking general direction and executing independently.
• Stay current with industry trends to continuously improve financial and operational processes supporting a high-growth SaaS business.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive finance experience in a public or late-stage technology company.
• Expertise in SaaS revenue recognition with deep knowledge of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Excel and data management skills; SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Experience leveraging automation and SaaS financial tools to drive efficiency.
• Self-starter with high autonomy and ability to execute without hands-on management.
