Controller

Overview

A growing organization is seeking a Controller with significant multi-client accounting experience, ideally from outsourced accounting or auditing backgrounds. This role involves partnering with multiple clients simultaneously, managing the full accounting cycle, and providing leadership to accounting teams while delivering clear financial insights to client leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple client relationships and accounting deliverables concurrently
• Lead and mentor accounting teams
• Oversee the entire accounting cycle for various clients
• Drive accountability and operational improvements
• Provide accurate, actionable financial insights to support business decision-making
• Engage with diverse industries and business models, including bootstrapped and VC/PE-backed companies

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of Controller experience
• Proven multi-client accounting experience (outsourced accounting or audit environments preferred)
• Strong expertise in implementing and managing complex accounting technology stacks
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring and inspiring accounting teams
• CPA certification is strongly preferred
