Overview

This role supports digital asset clients across the full lifecycle of engagements, including diligence, underwriting, risk assessment, strategy, and performance improvement. You will work with companies, investors, and counterparties across the digital asset ecosystem, including select engagements involving the restructuring of crypto-native businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational and financial due diligence analyses on digital asset businesses, counterparties, and transactions.
  • Build and review financial models and analyses to support underwriting, risk assessment, and investment or credit decisions, with limited oversight.
  • Develop business intelligence and market analysis across protocols, tokens, exchanges, and other ecosystem participants, including structuring analyses where the path to an answer is not immediately clear.
  • Identify and structure revenue enhancement and performance improvement opportunities for clients.
  • Support and own components of strategy engagements, including market entry and product assessment to operating model design.
  • Contribute to restructuring and turnaround work for distressed crypto-native businesses, where applicable.
  • Support business development by contributing to and helping develop pitch and proposal materials.
  • Own an entire workstream or significant project component—from initial problem definition through analysis and client-ready output—while coaching and mentoring junior resources.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of client processes, financial position, and key operational performance drivers; translate ambiguous or unstructured questions into clear analytical approaches and present findings to varied audiences.
  • Independently lead calls or meetings with junior client teams, as appropriate.
  • Prioritize and advance multiple workstreams with a high degree of autonomy, proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in investment or commercial banking, consulting, or a corporate role with a financial or analytical focus.
  • BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or other related analytical fields.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including the ability to independently build 3-statement financial models with limited oversight; experience with 13-week cash flow forecasts is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of client personnel and independently manage selected interactions with junior client teams.
  • Demonstrated interest in digital assets and the broader crypto ecosystem, through either prior professional experience or personal involvement in the space (for example, active participation as a hobbyist).
  • Commitment to living organizational cultural values: integrity, leadership, objectivity, inclusive diversity, and fun.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or demonstrated progress toward such certifications.
  • Familiarity with restructuring or Chapter 11 concepts.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $160,000 - $185,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography.
  • Discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
  • Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week may participate in fringe benefits including:
    • Healthcare plans
    • Flexible spending and savings accounts
