Finance Committee Volunteer

Overview

Dedicated volunteers are needed to support the finance committee for an organization serving girls, teens, and young mothers. Finance Committee volunteers help promote the programs and services that support and guide girls, teens, and young mothers.

• Time Commitment:
  • Meetings are held monthly or as necessary to complete its objectives (1–2 hours)
  • A one-year commitment

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out the financial planning necessary for the operation of the agency
• Become familiar with the long-range plan of the agency and its mission
• Work closely with the Events committee in setting financial goals aligned with the needs of the agency
• Work closely with the Executive committee in the preparation of budget submissions to funding bodies
• Ensure budgets and ventures are planned with that in mind and reflect a public image appropriate to the organization
