Financial & Accounting Analyst

Overview

The organization is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support growth in Brazil. This role will help ensure accounting and tax practices meet Brazilian accounting and regulatory standards, with experience in accounting, crypto, and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting process and strategy for the holding company.
• Partner with external accounting and tax advisors across the countries where the organization operates.
• Consolidate multi-entity, multi-country financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, consistent, and scalable.
• Lead and coordinate external audits for the holding company.
• Design and execute tax strategy to support business growth while ensuring proper accounting and tax treatment.
• Keep accounting and tax matters aligned with local and international requirements as rules evolve.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement of accounting and tax processes across the holding.
• Participate in Forecast & Planning (F&P), working with Finance to drive improvements.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Operations—leading the accounting perspective and optimizing existing processes.
• Set and maintain high standards for accounting quality and execution for the holding.

Requirements

• Degree (or advanced student) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Solid experience in financial accounting within multi-entity or holding structures.
• Hands-on experience with accounting and tax regulations in Brazil, including familiarity with the country’s regulatory framework applicable to crypto.
• Experience working in the crypto or fintech industry.
• Based in São Paulo, Brazil.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Background in startups or fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and flexible mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams.
• Clear communication and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in holding company accounting.
• Familiarity with G Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar tools.
• Strong mindset for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
