Overview

This full-time, entry-level remote role (United States) involves analyzing financial performance and organizing information into clear views of actual results, expected outcomes, and the factors driving differences between plans and outcomes. Accuracy and clear communication are important throughout the work.

You will help update forecasts, review actual results against budgets, prepare management reports, and test how changes in assumptions may affect expected outcomes. Responsibilities include organizing inputs, checking calculations, and summarizing the most meaningful drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Support improvements to recurring financial reporting processes while maintaining appropriate review controls.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by organizing assumptions, updating schedules, and checking calculations.
  • Conduct variance analysis that goes beyond describing higher/lower results; identify operational or financial drivers behind movement and determine whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.

Qualifications

  • Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain drivers behind a financial change.
  • Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
  • Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
