Overview
A diversified media organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to deliver accurate, timely, and standardized analysis of subscriber activity across the subscription-to-cash lifecycle. This role supports all circulation-related business areas by ensuring consistent, reliable reporting and leveraging automation to improve data accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting, including ad hoc analysis as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and insight generation through automation, process optimization, and elimination of redundant activities
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Circulation Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and IT to support initiatives such as system migrations, billing enhancements, and reporting improvements
- Analyze variances within the subscription-to-cash lifecycle, including discrepancies in billing, payment application, and recognized revenue, and deliver clear root-cause explanations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of analytical experience, preferably in circulation, subscription, or revenue analysis
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills including Power Query and data analysis
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into meaningful insights and recommendations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams
- Experience in a consolidated financial environment preferred
- Familiarity with financial planning or reporting tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $50,000 to $55,000 annually
- Base compensation reflects factors such as market location, education, skills, certifications, and experience
- Variable compensation may be applicable depending on the role
