Financial Analyst

Overview

A healthcare industry client is seeking a Financial Analyst for a 6+ month contract position with potential for long-term engagement. This remote role is based in the U.S. and offers an hourly pay rate between $45 and $50. Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and forecasts
• Support month-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations
• Manage revenue analysis and balance sheet reviews
• Develop and maintain financial models and Excel-based reports
• Assist with quarterly and regulatory reporting requirements
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Support cash management, risk analysis, and financial planning activities

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Ability to analyze business trends and forecast financial outcomes
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience with financial systems such as OneStream, PeopleSoft, or similar tools
• Knowledge of Medicaid / Managed Care or healthcare finance
• Exposure to federal funding or grant-related accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
