Financial Analyst

Overview

This role involves supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of business performance. The Financial Analyst position is designed for someone who can work carefully with financial information and explain what the numbers mean in practical, business-ready terms.

The work includes both routine reporting tied to regular financial cycles and forward-looking analysis. Assignments may require scenario comparisons, variance investigation, and linking financial results to the operational activities driving those results.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
• Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
• Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
• Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.

Requirements

• Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
• Ability to compare results, identify material variances, and explain the drivers behind a financial change.
• Clear written communication skills, including the ability to summarize financial information for non-specialist stakeholders.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $68,000–$76,000 per year
